Dave Swarthout joined the Salado Chamber/Tourism Board of Directors in 2014 and currently serves as Vice Chair. He is the First Vice President of the Salado Lions Club and is active in the Bell County Republican Party as a delegate to the Texas State Convention. His other political interests led him to help found and organize the Bell County Pints & Politics group. He is the owner of The Hairitage Barber Shop in Salado and has been a barber for 47 years.
Troy Smith serves as the Treasurer of the Salado Tourism/Board serving since January 2015. He is a board member of the Salado Education Foundation and the Salado Youth Soccer Association. He is native to Salado, returning after college and work in other areas, to open Troy L. Smith Financial in January 2013.
Gail Allard became a member of the Salado Chamber/Tourism Board in 2016. For the last 15 years his occupation has been as a professional glass artist. In late 2011 he opened Salado Glassworks which is a gallery and studio that produces custom hand blown glass ranging from small gifts and décor to full scale custom art installations.
Kaye Coachman joined the Salado Chamber/Tourism Board in 2016 after a 4 year previous term. She is a board member of the Salado Education Foundation, Co-Chair of the Cattlemen’s Ball and for the 5 past years has been the Chairman of the Salado Christmas Stroll. After 27 years, she retired from teaching as a high school dance director and moved to Salado in 2001. Since September 2013 she and her husband, Frank are part of a partnership in the ownership of 21 Main.
Ron Cunningham has been a member of the Chamber/Tourism Board starting in 2016. He spent 15 years as a finance director in the automotive industry. After a short time traveling, he embarked on a number of entrepreneurial endeavors in the Salado area culminating with the opening of the Pizza Place which he has owned for 4 years.
Jennifer McFarland joined the Salado Chamber/Tourism Board in 2014. Since 2014, she has Chaired Wildflower Art Show, the Pub Crawl, Edgy Live Art Competition and the Salado Art Fair; all Chamber/Tourism sponsored events. Jennifer has previously worked in the field of Special Education in the classroom and on a state and federal level as a Compliance Specialist. She has served for a total of 9 years on the PTO for the school district, and on the Salado Education Foundation Board for 2 years. Jennifer and her family moved to Salado in 2005.
Travis Quicksall joined the Salado Chamber/Tourism Board in January 2017. He is the owner of Quick Inc. Landy Surveying specializing in land development, land planning and mapping. He is originally from Boerne, Texas and moved to Salado in 2013 with his wife and three children. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in Civil Engineering and in his spare time enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing.
Johnny Shipman joined the Salado Chamber/Tourism Board in 2015. He and his wife Jill are the owners of Stonecreek Settlement Bed and Breakfast in Salado.
Ronnie Tynes rejoined the Salado Chamber/Tourism Board after a previous term on the Board. He is a 16 year Salado resident. He is a two term chairman of the Salado Business Association; a two term Chairman of the Salado Tourism Council; former Chairman of the Salado Planning & Zoning Commission and has acted as an advisory member of the Comprehensive Planning Commission. He is the Realtor/Owner/Broker of Tynes Realty specializing in Commercial & Investment properties and residential development.
Larry Wolfe joined the Salado Chamber/Tourism Board for the current term in 2015. His past terms run from 2003 until 2010. Other affiliation includes membership on the Salado Planning and Zoning Committee. Residing in Salado since 2002, Larry is semi-retired. His past work experience includes former ownership of Fairway Golf Carts, The Pizza Place, The Venue and The Shed. He currently works in a management capacity for Inn on The Creek Properties.
Barclay McCort is the Salado Chamber/Tourism Ladies Auxiliary liaison to the Board of Directors. She has held several positions with the Auxiliary after a career in teaching nursing at Amarillo College. Other endeavors include former President Chisholm Trail American Business Women's Association, and former President, current Vice President of the Salado Area Republican Women.
