COMMUNITY, CREATIVITY and CULTURE welcome you at the historic Village of Salado.
As the 2017 Chairman of the Salado Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, I am honored to serve in this capacity. On behalf of the dedicated Chamber/Tourism Board of Directors, I welcome you to Salado.
With the completion of the I-35 project, "SALADO IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS". You will find new frontage roads and exit ramps. The new Salado Plaza underpass with the beautiful "Stagecoach & Horses" mural on the East and West sidewalls of the underpass remind all of us of the history of Salado.
Our resurfaced and widened Main Street allows for visitors to stroll along the street and shop at the many unique stores that line the street. There are many nationally recognized artist galleries, in every genre, in our quaint village. If youre hungry, there are several restaurants to choose from including the soon-to-be reopening of the famous Stagecoach Inn restaurant. The Mill Creek Country Club golf course is one of the more beautiful courses in Central Texas. Looking for a quiet place to stroll or sit? There is College Hill Park, Salado Creek and the beautiful Sculpture Garden.
We have planned many events throughout the year for your enjoyment. Please check out the events calendar. While you're here, plan to stay at one of our several outstanding bed & breakfast inns. If you are planning a family reunion, a wedding or a small business conference, there is no better place than the historic Village of Salado.
Consider Salado the next time you are thinking about starting or expanding your business. We welcome you to join our Community, our Creativity and our Culture.Dave Swarthout
