Increase Revenue

Business Directory & Reference Guide – Current directory of all business & industry in Salado with special highlight and information for Chamber Members. This Guide is literally the guide for anyone who is looking for goods or services in and around Salado.

Sponsorships – In Kind Chamber support of businesses that are Chamber members for any of the businesses functions, promotions or events.

Leads Groups – Committee led group to promote business leads to fellow Chamber members.

Chamber E-Newsletter – Weekly newsletter published and electronically distributed to Chamber members providing notice of upcoming events, important community news, highlights of recent events, ribbon cuttings and a listing of the newest Chamber members

Visitor Center – noteworthy location in an 1850 log cabin in the confines of Salado. It is a place where all visitors can come for information about what to do, where to eat and to learn about the history of Salado.

Ribbon Cuttings & Grand Openings – The Chamber’s Ambassadors host a ribbon cutting ceremony and/or grand opening for all new members. The ribbon cutting photo and description of the business will be highlighted in the Chamber Weekly Newsletter and be featured in the local Salado newspaper, The Salado Village Voice.

Member Orientation – A member of the Membership Committee will visit the new member and make sure they are “in the know” regarding all the programs and information that is available to them as a member that can aid and assist them in the running of their business.

Referrals & Relocation Information – The Chamber receives many calls and visitor drop ins weekly asking for referrals to different types of businesses from places to eat, to places to stay, to things to do. We make a conscious effort to promote our members first but still maintain the stance of helping the inquirer even if it simply a business in the Village that fills their need.

Make Contacts

Business After Hours – Each quarter, a member business will host a Business After Hours Mixer which is a social and business networking event. These events are very popular and are a great way to increase your network of business associates.

Ambassadors - Volunteers that assist with Ribbon Cuttings, Mixers, Visitor Center Information Desk, Trolley Drivers, Event Helpers and Committee Advisory Chairs and members, and a host of other potential jobs. There sole responsibility is to aid and assist with promoting business in Salado.

Membership Committee – Committee formed to support current members through site visits and information gathering for business needs that could be addressed and solved by the Chamber. Committee responsible for new member drives.

Annual Golf Tournament – An opportunity for Chamber membership to come together along with their select business contacts/clients in a casual, fun event designed to support each other and the Chamber. It is one of the largest fundraisers for the Chamber operations.

Annual Banquet & Annual Individual/Business Awards – Yearly banquet to celebrate and mark the ending of the current chairman’s year and accomplishments and welcome in the new chairman for the next year. Award committee formed to nominate and vote for Ambassador of the Year, Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year and Hall of Fame Award winners. The second largest fundraiser for Chamber operations.

Grow Business

Leadership Salado – Program parameters in place and plans soon to reactivate.

Advocacy Committee – Committee to be formed to represent business and industry in Salado in regard to political action.

Save Money

Visitor’s Center & Conference Room Rental – Large Conference room available to Chamber members for meetings and conferences for a nominal fee and with advanced notice.

Trolley Rental – 13 passenger open air trolley available to groups for rental for a nominal fee. Certain restrictions apply.

Discount Media Package – Area advertising/marketing agency provides marketing assistance for reduced cost to chamber members. Certain restrictions apply.
